1Can I get a refund?
We do not offer refunds due to the nature of how an event is produced. We invest and have contracts and fees with event space, law enforcement, food, permits, and even merchandise is purchased ahead of the the event. As a rider you have acknowledged this during the registration process by accepting the Terms and Conditions of the event. This is a box that needs to be manually checked in order to proceed with the payment process. screen shot from all registration forms
2Can I still register?
Yes!
Online registration will remain open thru Sunday, September 4. After this date, Only Late / Same Day Registration will be offered on a space available at Event Check In. Late/ Same Day Space
Available on-site registration may be offered, Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 12 noon till 8:00pm at Tahoe Sports Ltd, then, starting at 5:30am to 7:30am on ride day, Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the Start Finish – Parking Lot C of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, located at Stateline, NV. Late/Same Day registration fee will be $140+$20 (Late Fee) = $160.00 with no guarantee of receiving an Event Goodie Bag, T-shirt; or Water bottle.
3What's included with my registration?

4Can some one else pick up my packet?
If you cannot make the pre-registered rider check-in to pick up your registration packet, you may have a friend or another rider pick it up for you. You must download the waiver , fill it out and sign it and attach this with a photo copy of your driver’s license. You must also state in letter form that you are authorizing this person to pick up your packet. NO exceptions! Your friend or another rider must present your signed waiver attached to a photo copy of your driver’s license and letter stating who is picking up your packet for us to release your registration packet
5Where do I check in for the ride?
Bike the West does not send out rider packets in advance of the event. Each rider must Check In and sign the waiver before the ride packet is issued. Pre-Registered Rider Check-In and Late Registration will take place Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at Tahoe Sports Ltd, in the Village Shopping Center, located on Highway 50 & Heavenly Village Way in South Lake Tahoe, Ca. Pre-Registered Rider Check-In and Late/Same Day Registration will re-open at 5:30am to 7:30am on ride day, Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the Start Finish – Parking Lot C of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, located at Stateline, NV.
6Do I have to Pay for Parking at Hard Rock?
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, as with all casino hotels at Stateline, NV., have instituted PAID Parking to park in their back lots. If you are staying at the Hard Rock, your parking is covered in your lodging fees… If you are staying at a nearby property, we recommend that you ride to the start. If you plan to park at Hard Rock on ride day, Sunday, September 11, 2022, you will need to pull a parking voucher from the auto gate terminal at the entrance to allow you to enter. Do not lose your parking voucher… Bike the West will distribute parking validation stickers at event check in. Do not lose your parking validation sticker… You must present your parking voucher and the validation sticker at the exit terminal screen scanner, to allow you to depart the parking lot at no fee…

General FAQ

1How do I know if I registered?
If you registered online and you used a valid email address, you would have received a confirmation reply letter from registration@bikethewest.com. Your credit card charge would be to TGFT / Bike the West. If you are uncertain,please email registration@bikethewest.com Please check your credit card statement for charges to Bike the West.
2I am unable to ride due to a recent injury or medical issue.
There are NO REFUNDS and NO TRANSFERS & NO CREDIT TO FUTURE RIDES allowed with your registration, as you agreed to this condition upon registering for the event. If you are pre-registered and have recently been injured or have a medical issue that will not allow you to ride, Bike the West will consider issuing you a medical transfer authorization letter, allowing you to sell or transfer your registration to a friend or a new rider. Please email: registration@bikethewest.com with details of your medical injury and your request
3What should I bring with me?
For Pre-Registration Check in, please bring your legal ID and copy of your registration confirmation or your Event Entry ID number from your confirmation. All participants will be required to sign a waiver. For the ride: All participants are required to wear helmets, so don’t forget to bring yours. This is a fully supported tour and there will be tech support at the start//finish, rest stops and on the course, but we recommend bringing a spare tube or patch kit and pump or inflation device. Your bike should have at least one water bottle cage to carry a water bottle. And we also recommend good sunglasses and applying sunscreen. Law enforcement agencies request that all riders carry legal ID during the ride.
4What's the weather like?
The weather is unpredictable and can range from 35F in the morning to 70F during the day. There could also be an afternoon thunder shower… So, please check the weather in advance of your departure and bring appropriate cycling wear. If the temperatures are cool in the morning, we recommend bringing a light jacket or leg & arm warmers. We will have drop bags at the first 3 rest stops for you to discard any items of clothing that you do not want to carry. These will be returned to the finish line for you to pick up. Please be aware this is a courtesy service that is offered, and you leave your items at your own risk and that you may finish the ride before the rest stop crews are able to return your drop bag.
5What if I have a mechanical issue with my bike including a flat tire?
We recommend that you bring a spare tube and inflation device on your ride… There is tech support provided at All rest stops… You will be handed our map information at event check In. Please review all the information, take it with you and make note of the two phone numbers that are published to call if you encounter a mechanical issue…
6What If I am not properly trained for my ride option, or need a SAG Transport?
If you find yourself getting tired, please rest at our rest stops and take advantage of the selection of food & beverage to replenish your energy… You may request a SAG transport forward on the course to help cut off mileage… And all riders that SAG forward will be transported to the final rest stop at Spooner Junction so they may ride the last mostly downhill 12 miles to cross the Finish Line and collect their finisher’s medal… SAG transport to the finish will be subject to course sweep.
7Can I rent or ship a bike?
A limited number of quality Specialize Road bikes may also be rented from Tahoe Sports Ltd, our check in location, starting April 1. They can also assist with your ground transport UPS/FedEx receiving and return shipping your bike. Please call their Bike Shop at 1-530-542-4000 or 1-530-600-4581 for more details. Check our sponsors page for other nearby Bike Shops that may have road bike rentals.
